What is Melameal?

Melameal is a free meal management system for mess and dormitories. Track member meals, manage costs, and generate monthly reports — all in one place.

How do I add members?

Go to the dashboard and open the Members tab. Enter the member name and quota, then click Add. Members can be removed at any time using the remove button next to their name.

How do I record meals?

Open the Meals tab on the dashboard. Each member has a row of daily inputs. Enter the number of meals for each day. The total is automatically calculated at the end of the row.

How are costs tracked?

Use the Costs tab to add bazar (grocery) entries and extra expenses. Each entry records the amount and optional note. Totals are shown at the top of the tab.

How do deposits work?

The Deposit tab lets you record how much each member has deposited for the month. The amount updates automatically on blur.

How is the report calculated?

The Result tab shows the monthly report. Meal rate is calculated by dividing total bazar cost by total meals. Extra costs are split equally among members. Each member's balance = deposit - (meal cost + extra share).

I forgot my password

Go to the Forgot Password page and enter your email. A reset link will be sent to your inbox.

I didn't receive the verification email

Check your spam folder. You can request a new verification email from the Verify Email page.
